Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Sorry for the weird title. I'll explain what happened.

I had a bunch of tabs opened in Chrome and added different tags as interesting in each of them. I expected the tags to accumulate so all of them appear in my list of interesting tags at the end. However, only the tags added in the most recent tab were there, everything added earlier was gone.

The title did make me do a double take :) – Tim Post Jul 29 '10 at 12:45
That would be not processsafe, not not threadsafe — Each tab in Chrome is a process. – kennytm Jul 29 '10 at 15:30
Same with ignored tags, I assume? – Jon Seigel Jul 29 '10 at 21:55
I've definitely noticed that favourites don't work perfectly.. e.g. I have the Monthly Summary of What's New question favourited, but it never shows up in my recent activity list. – Ether Jul 29 '10 at 23:44

This is controlled by the client and the server simply accepts whatever the client sends.
