Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I find sometimes when looking through several pages of results, or something that is cross-language similar, I get half a page of greyed-out answers, and half a page of not.

This would be best if it could weight the results by relevance and give all my interesting tags a +5 relevance and my ignored tags a -5 relevance. (thus boil my favorite tags to the top and flush my ignored tags to the bottom of the list.)

I feel like it would be a much better experience to get search results based on interest rather than the whole set of everything.

Have you tried the "Hide ignored tags" option in your profile? – mmyers Aug 1 '10 at 3:37
That was elusive thanks. – Question-Failed Aug 1 '10 at 21:17
@mmyers♦: however, collapsing seems to be a nice option to me, too – Tobias Kienzler Aug 2 '10 at 9:49
