Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I went and added a wiki for and then tried to add the synonym , but because there are more instances of it wouldn't allow it.

We should be using because of other spreadsheet apps, instead of using the more specific (any tagging of this for Excel problems should use the tag also).

How do I get this synonym implemented?

EDIT: Ok, now exceeds so I've created a synonym here. Please vote for it if you're able.

Dupe of… -- if you'd like, you can edit this question into a retag/synonym request. – Jon Seigel Aug 10 '10 at 22:21
@Jon, ok, guess I'll have to, what a sucky way to implement things, makes the voting completely worthless – Lance Roberts Aug 10 '10 at 22:24
Did you read waffles' answer? He actually had a pretty good reason why it's the way it is – Michael Mrozek Aug 10 '10 at 22:31
@Mic, yes, but if we need to be careful we should be careful both ways, and let the voting decide. See my new question for my solution. – Lance Roberts Aug 10 '10 at 22:38
