Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

They look indented or something like that. Are those the "moderator only" tags?

  • red tags = moderator only
  • border tags = required on every question

Could you elaborate on "required on every question"? Do you mean that each question should be categorised "discussion", "support" etc? Are there plans to support this with a radio button or something similar? I'm not trying to hassle you on this - I know features take time to implement! I'm just trying to get a better sense of where the system is headed. – Jon Skeet Jul 16 '09 at 10:26

And, is this feature going to be available on SO/SF/SU later? – nik Jul 16 '09 at 10:33

The red tags look horrible on a revision log, see: meta.stackoverflow.com/revisions/5656/list – hayalci Jul 16 '09 at 16:36

@hayalci: I know! We need a new web site: meta.meta.stackoverflow.com :-) – Euro Micelli Jul 30 '09 at 17:37
