Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I know this is probably an insider secret and won't be shared publicly, but, I'm trying my luck. How can people leave comments without any characters and sometimes less than the required number of characters?

I don't have an example for you guys but there was a particular question about Whitespace(which got closed) that I'd asked, that got a reply as a blank comment, so, it is possible.

I am dying to know how to do this.
