What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 131 Stack Exchange communities.

"Event queue" is a general term, even though within a context like Java it's specific.

Two questions not about either Java event queue nor JavaScript's, are http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1443446/bloomberg-api-request-timing-out and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/944541/how-to-queue-multiple-events-to-a-single-eventhandler-in-actionscript-3. I don't know the right tags for them.

There's also event-handling which is very broad and cuts across many domains, maybe that's ok?
