Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

The default graph on moderator analytics for views is the "Total Page Views" graph. I think it would be better to display the "Number of Visits" graph by default, as this is the same metric used to evaluate traffic on

It's also a more meaningful metric of how active the site is.

According to Jeff, viewcounts are stored as a single entry thats incremented instead of a big table logging everything. So for right now, thats not possible

These are graphs that mods have available to them already. @CRoss is just asking for the default selection in a dropdown list to be changed. – Rebecca Chernoff Oct 5 '10 at 15:52
@rchern Hmm... so now I'm confused about the question thats linked. If its stored as a single field as Jeff said, then how can mods draw graphs? Or is Jeff wrong? – TheLQ Oct 5 '10 at 22:19
