Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I don't think [retag-request] is a suitable tag here... – kennytm Oct 8 '10 at 19:54
@KennyTM - sorry, I thought it was meant as a request for other people to retag this post, because I wasn't sure I tagged it properly. – ripper234 Oct 9 '10 at 0:25
There was a previous proposal for Physics.SE? . – Dimensio1n0 Aug 10 '13 at 10:36
@Dimension10 - there was a Stack Exchange 1.0 site for Physics. – ripper234 Aug 10 '13 at 11:56

The Physics 1.0 site expired several months ago and I do not know if the owner chose to export or publish their data, or if they have plans to continue the site.

Wherever possible, we are working with the Stack Exchange 1.0 sites that have created successful communities. That site has only 40 non-meta questions and does not receive very much traffic.

So I understand the answer is that it will get wiped when the proposal graduates. – ripper234 Oct 9 '10 at 0:26
I was the owner of the 1.0 site but having set it up and participated in the first few weeks I just left it, assuming it would pretty much run itself. Never had a single email relating to the site and didn't realise it had been replaced until I visited it again much later. – Dave Griffiths Nov 8 '11 at 20:57
