Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I think that when somebody adds some code to their question in StackOverflow, in the question preview you should NOT be able to actually read it, instead you should see just "[CODE]" or something similar.

And image just in case: Screenshot of code

As you can see this takes away most of the question

You could a better preview and idea of the question if you didn´t see illegible code (because of the format it is very difficult to read at a glance!)

You should see something like this:

Thanks Jared Harley!!!

What do you think about this?

Thanks in advance!!

+1 Very good idea – Benjol Oct 15 '10 at 8:21
@Benjol Thanks! I think it could be very useful :) – Trufa Oct 15 '10 at 15:42
Just to let you know I´m waiting 48 hours and starting a bounty couse I think it is a very good feature (and it really annoys me!) – Trufa Oct 15 '10 at 18:12

I assume you're envisioning something like this:

If so, I totally agree with you - the code isn't really readable in the snippet, and adding more of the question text lets a user possibly tell easier if they can answer the question or not without visiting the question page.

Do you think the question is clear enough or should y modify it? Thanks! – Trufa Oct 15 '10 at 6:19
@Trufa nope, I think the question is perfectly clear - I just wanted to make sure you and I were on the same page, and it looks like we are! – Jared Harley Oct 15 '10 at 7:06
