Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Possible Duplicates:
Vote count before and after split is inconsistent
0 upvotes, 1 downvote, total 0?

Referring to this answer — the total votes displayed is "1", but when I click to show the vote split, it's "0/-1".

This strikes me as unexpected.

Aaaah I just found Vote count before and after split is inconsistent. I swear that did not appear in the suggested questions list during editing. – detly Oct 21 '10 at 1:23

Oh look, here's another one, sheesh: 0 upvotes, 1 downvote, total 0?. I did actually search for all of those terms, you know. – detly Oct 21 '10 at 1:24

The suggested questions are mostly useless, but the related list (which uses more info) is often helpful. I see both questions that you mention are in that latter list, #1 and #3 (currently). – Gnome Oct 21 '10 at 2:30

@Roger Pate - yep, that's where I saw them. But that only comes up after posting a Q, doesn't it? – detly Oct 21 '10 at 5:32

Are you a draftsman or something? – ringø Oct 21 '10 at 6:21

@ring0 No... are you referring to my attempt to subvert the tradition of hand drawn red circles? – detly Oct 21 '10 at 9:07

@detly: Yes, the related list is shown afterwards, which is the point of the feature request I linked: show it earlier. :) – Gnome Oct 21 '10 at 18:50
