Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

This is a kinda small thing, but right now the User Flair just uses generic flair icons, like the trilogy uses. This is fine for those sites; however, I really like my coin badges. Can we have it use the site's actual badge pictures?

i.e. This is how it looks now:

profile for Ullallulloo at Gaming, Q&A for passionate videogamers on all platforms

I'd rather it look something like this:

profile for Ullallulloo at Gaming, Q&A for passionate videogamers on all platforms

Only, with proper spacing of course. :p

An excellent suggestion. Technical difficulty, I don't know. – C. Ross Nov 1 '10 at 20:34

Yes, I'm sure you'd rather it show a gold badge. ;) – gnostradamus Nov 1 '10 at 20:36

@gnostradamus: Got one now! :D – Ullallulloo Mar 25 '11 at 15:44

This would require se.com to retrieve and dynamically render -- through C# code -- the CSS of the site as it is displayed in the browser.

Technically infeasible.

Aw, I figured that you could do it same way as the site's icon... :( – Ullallulloo Nov 1 '10 at 23:08

@ulla but the site's icon is available standalone as favicon.ico and apple-touch-icon.png -- no such luck for the badge sprites – Jeff Atwood Nov 1 '10 at 23:13
