Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

The Area 51 sites that have graduated (WebApps, Webmasters, Gaming, Cooking, etc.) show Stack Exchange Beta on their offline page as seen below. Shouldn't the name and logo from their graduated design be used instead of the sketchy design?

I'd like to upvote but there's no freehand circles... :-( – The Unhandled Exception Nov 23 '10 at 16:57
@TheUnhandledException, better? – Rebecca Chernoff Nov 23 '10 at 17:04
The SO Dev Team's oy! counter just shot up. I wonder why... – Yi Jiang Nov 23 '10 at 17:13
@rchern Much better! Thanks. +1! – The Unhandled Exception Nov 23 '10 at 18:15
-1. Your MS Paint handwriting is too nice. – user27414 Nov 23 '10 at 19:32
Rebecca, @Jon has a point. Are you using a tablet, or what? – Pops Dec 9 '10 at 18:40
@PopularDemand, no. A mouse, with my right hand. And I'm left-handed. – Rebecca Chernoff Dec 9 '10 at 18:42
This issue is still outstanding... – codingbadger May 9 '11 at 8:51

Graduated (themed) sites now have a pretty/matching offline page Jin put in the styling for all these last weekend and I hooked them up this morning.

The exception to this is askubuntu, which will work after the next push.

Keep in mind the error pages are cached for a while, so you may need to hard refresh or clear your cache to see the updated version that redirects to your site's specific offline page (this is necessary due to the load balancer, not one of our IIS servers hosting the page).

As shown in the top of the screen capture, the issue is not so much the image of the page, it's the url the user is redirected to that is wrong. Just a helpful hint for the team :-)

EDIT: I added a freehand frowny-face, freehand "oy!"s and, for good measure, a freehand crying unicorn...

EDIT2: I added smileys of all denominations. Oy, you guys, Oy Vey!

Oy! Oy Vey! Oy My Gosh!

I'd like to upvote, but you forgot the sad smiley and an oy. (; – Rebecca Chernoff Nov 23 '10 at 18:43
Are you trying to start a new meta meme @rchern? ;-) – The Unhandled Exception Nov 23 '10 at 19:05
-1, heretically oriented smiley – badp Nov 23 '10 at 19:06
@radp: I have added more smileys for you – The Unhandled Exception Nov 23 '10 at 19:19
Gotta have strong nasal muscles to utter an "oy!" like in the top corner there. ♪ – Grace Note Nov 23 '10 at 19:20
@TheUnhandledException, I don't try, I just seem to fall into them. – Rebecca Chernoff Nov 23 '10 at 19:25
@Grace Note: That smiley has my family's long Jewish heritage and can utter very, very nasal "oy"s! – The Unhandled Exception Nov 23 '10 at 19:25
-1 unicorns don't cry. For crying out loud, they crap rainbows! – user27414 Nov 23 '10 at 19:33
Unicorn tears have healing powers... oh wait, phoenix had that, not unicorns. – alexanderpas Dec 12 '10 at 9:32
oy oy oy? Shouldn't that be "Oi! Oi! Oi!"? – Andrew Grimm Dec 13 '10 at 2:46
@Andrew -1, heretically spelled Oy. – The Unhandled Exception Dec 13 '10 at 12:44
