Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

  • in order to increase the usability of a Stack Overflow site by having more hyperlinks
    • and make it easier for an "author of a page" to create hyperlinks
  • as a stackoverflow-reader
    • and stackoverflow-writer
  • I want a formatting shortcut for to a link a tag-wiki

currently I have to write something like [ tag-wiki ] ( if I want to link to tag-wiki.

I would propose this syntax [tag-wiki][] meaning that there are predefined references to the tag.

@peter: the original request was written in bdd-specification style that contains "In Order To" + expectedBenefit + "As A" + NameOfRoleWhoWouldBenefit + "I Want" + feature. You translated my bdd-style request back into simple english. "Reader" and "Writer" where my role as a stackoverflow user. – k3b Dec 9 '10 at 16:38
