Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Lifehacker is asking for nominations for the "Best Question and Answer" tool.

I humbly suggest that it is the Stack Exchange family of sites. If you agree, you may want to nominate it yourself.

Update: Stack Exchange came in a distant second to the mighty Goog.

Pharyngulate that sucka! – random Jan 7 '11 at 17:05
@random - need to add that to my list of pause operations. "Pharyngulating suckers" should fit right after "Embiggening prototypes" and before "Reticulating Splines" – Adam Davis Jan 7 '11 at 17:13
@random Sounds painful. – Grant Palin Jan 7 '11 at 17:23

Oh. Well then. This can be deleted if it's not necessary. – Al E. Jan 7 '11 at 17:10
@AlEv, I'm not sure that's necessary. I think it can stay. – jjnguy Jan 7 '11 at 17:10
They seem to be removing comments though: Mine (between @BPhillips' and @GuardianOfChaos' entries) just disappeared. Plus, you'd expect there to be many more entries if Jeff tweeted about this 12 hours ago. Am I overlooking something? Anyway, I'll try again in case it was my fault – Pëkka Jan 7 '11 at 17:36
Ah: "To prevent tampering with the results, votes from first-time commenters may not be counted" Fair enough, I guess. – Pëkka Jan 7 '11 at 17:37
@Pekka, ah. That makes sense. – jjnguy Jan 7 '11 at 18:19
