Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

It seems than on all three SOFU sites the nomination links have disappeared, it is a bug or by design?

This was spotted one hour ago and they are still not visible.

Jeff stated that the banner would only show for 48 hours.

You can still find them at

Confirmed:… – Tom Wijsman Jan 20 '11 at 22:28
The system messages have a maximum life of 48 hours. – ChrisF Jan 20 '11 at 22:29
Also, they're still on all of the meta sites. – sysadmin1138 Jan 21 '11 at 3:56
Hmm, people who have not visited in those 48 hours will likely to miss the election if it's not somewhere prominently visible. Right? – Bart Kiers Jan 21 '11 at 8:06
@Bart, yes. If they don't hear about it from other channels they will miss it. There is a blog post about it. – jjnguy Jan 21 '11 at 14:26
@Justin, do you know if the other stages of the election (the Primary & Election itself, of course) will be announced for 48 again? Would be helpful for people with a memory like a sieve (me!). – Bart Kiers Jan 21 '11 at 14:34
@Bart, that I do not know. I would assume that they would like to encourage voting. So I'll bet that they will have a notification. You could ask this in it's own question as 'support' or even 'feature request' if you really wanna know. – jjnguy Jan 21 '11 at 14:37
@Justin, yeah, I'll go ahead and ask the question myself. Cheers! – Bart Kiers Jan 21 '11 at 14:39
