Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 155 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I would like a feature where we could type in [question:12345] and it would give a link to the question with ID 12345. Would this be workable? I got the idea from the tag link thing.

Why not just use http://stackoverflow.com/q/12345? It's not that hard to type, and the server will convert the text of the hyperlink to the question's title – Yi Jiang Feb 19 '11 at 18:53

Is there a list of these things anywhere? – Arlen Beiler Feb 19 '11 at 19:16
