Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

As described on Add markdown support for hidden-until-you-click text (aka spoilers), it's now possible to create spoiler blocks/hidden text with the syntax

>! Spoiler text

Can a blurb about this be added to the "formatting help" page that's linked to in the "How to format" box on the right of posting pages and by the little ? block above post entry fields?

This question came from our discussion, support, and feature requests site for passionate videogamers on all platforms.

For the time being, it's documented on SO-specific markup - definitive resource?, which is not easy to find. – Gilles Feb 28 '11 at 23:35
@badp which site(s) other than Gaming use the spoiler text feature? – Pops Mar 2 '11 at 1:48
How about Meta SO? :) – badp Mar 5 '11 at 12:17
