We all know of the infamous Apocalyptic Defense proposal being closed because it wasn't "serious", but I thought if you eliminated the noise, there was some real possibility.

So I'm thinking about making another proposal intended to be a more serious version "Disaster Awareness/Prevention".

Off topic things would include highly improbable things like zombies and general jokes of that nature, but on the list of on topic things would be bad weather(hurricane, tornado), nuclear bombs(including EMP), general warfare, and etc things which are serious matters.

Would Jeff Atwood close mine the same way he did with the other similar proposal?

Contemplating disasters of both natural and human causation turns up a rather short list for a Q&A site, doesn't it? Even a list of 500 would not be very many questions. –  Tim Post Mar 3 '11 at 3:15

@Tim How many politicians are there in your country? –  belisarius Mar 3 '11 at 5:28

@Tim: "How should I prepare for an expected hurricane?" "What is the best way to protect yourself in an earthquake" "Does a nuclear bomb actually radiate food and other consumables?" "How do I find out where the nearest bomb shelter in my area is?" "I live in [some warfare country], what is the best way to protect my valuables from soldiers who may break into my home?" etc. To be honest, this would be a very depressing SE though :/ –  Earlz Mar 3 '11 at 23:54
