Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Background: I'm only active on Stackoverflow, but other interesting Stack Exchange sites have been drifting into my view.

Are there any that have matched or surpassed the original in terms of awesomeness?

I'd say that depends on what kinds of things you're interested in? – Pëkka Mar 6 '11 at 9:56
Let's say I'm your average SO member: professional programmer and interested in technology. – Matthew Willis Mar 6 '11 at 9:59
From your profile, it looks like you're pretty much already a member of everything... – Cody Gray Mar 6 '11 at 10:56
I've logged in before, but I'm not active – Matthew Willis Mar 6 '11 at 17:40

Area 51 is the place to find new sites to join.

In your case you'll want to hit the Technology tab on the bottom left, then click on either beta or launched on the top right to find sites that are currently active.
