Where can I ask questions about the law, immigration, and other matters related to bureaucracy?

There is also travel.stackexchange.com for certain types of immigration related questions but it sounds like it might not be quite the right choice. –  Jason C May 30 at 13:53

Law is now in private beta. We have one question so far on , though it may be closed (for other reasons). Immigration is perfectly on topic there, though more data points (i.e. more questions) could better shape its role in the site.

As for questions about "the law" . . . well, those certainly fit in there.

Expatriates is probably a good place for the immigration questions, and if your law and bureaucracy questions pertain to moving to a new country, they would mostly belong there too. They have tags like immigration, driving-license, banking, health-insurance and so on

Oh, that's good. On a side note, an immigration proposal may be closed as a duplicate of Expatriates. –  HDE 226868 May 30 at 13:09
