Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 153 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates
up vote 3 down vote accepted

Ahhh I know exactly what happened here, this was a separate bug we had that only affected meta.SO and only affected a handful of votes. (this was not mine for a change)

I just fixed the record in the DB you may want to run yourself a recalc to get your missing rep, if it matters to you :)

@CodyGray and @YOU wow, thanks! I had no idea this got implemented. How long does it take for the reputation to be recalculated? – alex Apr 28 '11 at 8:54

@alex, less than a second for me – YOU Apr 28 '11 at 8:59

@YOU: I thought it would just trigger the rep recalc and it would be done in a couple of hours. Tried it myself here and it was really fast (about a second). Nice to see this got implemented. – alex Apr 28 '11 at 9:00

@alex The results are usually not so nice – Dr. belisarius Apr 28 '11 at 15:01

@Wether: I got +6 on SO, +2 on meta and 0 on Super User so, all in all, pretty ok. – alex Apr 28 '11 at 17:15

@alex I tried it a few times and always lose points. Perhaps it is just designed against me :) – Dr. belisarius Apr 28 '11 at 17:18
