Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

On Quant SE, a user has been blindly upvoting some of the top users. Specifically, he has been maxing-out his daily vote limit by upvoting every answer from a small pool of users. I warned this user last week, but that didn't seem to stop the "vote stuffing".

I think this is a problem because the fraud detector could cancel the votes, which means that the reputations will swing wildly. Is there a protocol for handling a user like this?

Just pass Jeff's message to them - "Just make sure when you vote, you vote for lots of great content -- not the same user over and over." Isn't it enough? – YOU May 2 '11 at 15:30
When in doubt, suspend for a month – random May 2 '11 at 15:30
