Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I have a question that was posted some time back that never got an answer. I actually do not need an answer anymore because I stumbled upon a work-around. Should I close this post or just leave it up for other users? If so, how do I close it?

Post the answer yourself, then accept it. Then other people can use your solution.

Agreed, even if it's just a work-around. Some people might be able to use it, and others might be able to provide a better solution. – Bill the Lizard May 17 '11 at 18:18
