Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

I voted to delete this answer, but the delete button just says "delete" instead of "delete (1)". If I try to vote again, it correctly tells me that I've already voted, so this must be a UI issue.

I can repro this. I voted myself. The screen said delete (2) after I voted, but on refresh, it was back to delete. Before I voted, it did not say delete (1), either. – Grace Note May 19 '11 at 17:51

I can't delete answers on meta :( I'm very sad. – jjnguy May 19 '11 at 17:56

I deleted it, so I must have cast the proverbial third vote, even though it did not say delete(2) as it should have. – Adam Davis May 19 '11 at 18:11

@jjn It's only 1.4k left to go, you'll be there soon. ♪ – Grace Note May 19 '11 at 18:11

@Grace, I was at 20k before questions were made 5 rep network-wide. I feel like I was demoted. – jjnguy May 19 '11 at 18:16

@jjn That explains the discrepancy. I was wondering how you were still under 20k, when it was many months ago that you made that push for 10k. – Grace Note May 19 '11 at 18:19

@Grace, yeah unfortunately I had lots of questions with upvotes. I lost ~3k rep that fateful day. – jjnguy May 19 '11 at 18:20

There was a deferred execution bug in the preloading code for deletion votes, it's fixed in the next build.
