Could you add as a synonym of ?

PS: there's a bug the system thinks that this question is a duplicate of Add [css-hacks] as a tag synonym of [css-hack] (if I am not adding the PS) and won't lemme submit it…

You've got 3 questions in one here. Which one do you want me to answer? :) – Robert Harvey May 24 '11 at 1:38
Done: There were 6. No synonym needed. One was duplicated. One had nothing to do with xhtml1.1. – NickC May 24 '11 at 1:39
@robert the title is rhetorical… you must have good reasons to require such an enormous amount of rep to create tag synonyms and the bug is really minor so just add a status-completed :) – Knu May 24 '11 at 1:45
Yes sir.......... – Robert Harvey May 24 '11 at 1:46
@Renesis already took care of it. – Robert Harvey May 24 '11 at 1:49
Already has. Refresh your browser. – Robert Harvey May 24 '11 at 1:55
Is your argument really that 2500 rep is "enormous"? Because that's ridiculous. A few weeks of solid contributions to the site, and you'll be at 2500 rep in no time. Before that, we don't want people to have the privilege to create tag synonyms. Simple as that. – Cody Gray May 24 '11 at 9:25
@gray I wish it were that easy for me… – Knu May 25 '11 at 1:16

As far as why it takes so much rep, I think creating tag synonyms will silently/irrevocably rename the synonym tag on all questions to the synonymee without any incrementing of the edit history. Obliterating information should be done with care.

remember it's the ability to propose a tag synonym (the vote afterward is a safegard) – Knu May 24 '11 at 2:52
@Knu, it's all part of the same process – Nick T May 24 '11 at 2:53
