Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 157 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

On the pages http://stackoverflow.com/badges?tab=general and http://stackoverflow.com/badges?tab=tags it will be good to add an option to sort by "number of users" awarded.

Why? This seems like a feature request just for the sake of a feature request. – Daniel DiPaolo Jun 5 '11 at 0:38

I confess I occasionally look to see how rare a badge I've just acquired is. This would make it easier, and also highlight a badge that lots of people have and I don't. – Kate Gregory Jun 5 '11 at 1:27

It will be easy to understand how easy (or hard) is to achieve each badge. The current page shows number of users anyway, but alphabetical order doesn't give any value. – Michael Freidgeim Jun 13 '11 at 12:02

For tag badges, this gives an impression of the popularity of a tag. – gerrit Mar 10 at 18:52
