Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 158 Stack Exchange communities.

What is meta?
Here's how it works:
  1. Any Stack Exchange user can ask a question
  2. The community provides support, votes on ideas, and reports bugs
  3. Your voice helps shape the way Stack Exchange operates

Using a code block after

  1. a list
  2. a seperator

This code block does not appear as code in the final post, but it does in the preview below the editor.

You need to put an empty line before the code, and sometimes a <!— break -->. – kiamlaluno Jun 29 '11 at 15:39

Fixed. This is one of those case where there's really not one single "correct" way, because Markdown has quite a few syntax ambiguities, and the client-side and server-side versions took different approaches.

The preview now matches your final version.
