Do I have to use emule to download the package b/c I didn't see the directly link for the user.xml? – q0987 Jun 30 '11 at 20:50
@q0987 first of all, I don't know the format of the data dump, but it is not just a "user dataset", there is no mention of a "user dataset" in your link, just a "dataset" (I've edited your question to reflect that) - you should be able to selectively download files with some torrent clients, but it appears to be broken out based on each site, not on the type of data – Daniel DiPaolo Jun 30 '11 at 20:55
@Daniel, the provided torrent seed has no open thread at all and I cannot download those files. – q0987 Jun 30 '11 at 22:08
@q0987 I believe you went to the wrong place. Go here and click the first giant blue download button you see. blog.stackoverflow.com/category/cc-wiki-dump – Jeff Atwood Jun 30 '11 at 22:25
@Daniel, In fact, I downloaded the correct torrent clearbits.net/get/1794-jun-2011.torrent. But when I try to download the files referred by this torrent, there is no available resource that I can use to download. – q0987 Jun 30 '11 at 22:40
The torrent works, I successfully downloaded it earlier this week. My torrent client is always running and is a seed for the past several SO data dumps. – Greg Hewgill Jul 1 '11 at 2:17
