What is meta? ×
Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 133 Stack Exchange communities.

I found on SO that (92) is more popular than (36).

But as far as I could see, plural form is preferred.

So maybe merge one into another?

@Robert, Could you also merge reference-type and reference-types? –  M. Tibbits Jul 5 '11 at 21:08

@M.T Done...... –  Robert Harvey Jul 5 '11 at 21:10

@Robert, while on the path to commandeering the OP's intent, how about reference->references and preference->preferences? Though there is a slightly awkward semantic difference between preference as in tastes/desires and preferences as user specific configuration, but the questions tagged preference appear mean preferences by and large –  M. @M.T: For those tags, see here: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/97518/… –  Robert Harvey Jul 5 '11 at 21:17

Some day, when my account is all big and grown up, I'll be able to propose these myself... Thanks for doing most of the work @Robert! –  M. Tibbits Jul 5 '11 at 21:17

@Robert: Thank you! Could you please post an answer to accept it –  abatishchev Jul 24 '11 at 12:08

The [status-completed] tag should suffice. –  Robert Harvey Jul 24 '11 at 16:31

@RobertHarvey any two similar merging can be told to the moderator? –  TheFisherMan Jun 7 '12 at 10:59
