Meta Stack Exchange is where users like you discuss bugs, features, and support issues that affect the software powering all 150 Stack Exchange communities.

The tags , and are all about zombie processes. Please make them synonyms.

and are unrelated concepts. Maybe zombie-process (which doesn't currently exist) would be a better name for the unix concept, to avoid confusion?

There's also a which looks like it may be a synonym of , but I'm not familiar enough with the topic to tell for sure.

I can verify that nszombie and nszombieenabled are indeed references to the same topic (a debugging setting for Objective-C programming) – Javache Jul 16 '11 at 17:38
You got plenty of rep to do this yourself. Why spam meta about it? – Uphill Luge Jul 16 '11 at 17:41
@Hans No, I don't have enough rep in any of these tags to suggest a synonym. Granted, if I rembember the rules correctly, the 6 users who have ≥6 answer upvotes in that tag can band together and create the synonym. But that's a stretch. What's wrong with synonym requests on meta, especially when the best name is up for discussion? – Gilles Jul 16 '11 at 17:44
brains. brains. brains. – Rosinante Jul 16 '11 at 17:45
NZZombieEnabled should be renamed to NSZombie, not the other way around. – Elyse Jul 16 '11 at 22:31
