It's directly contradicted later with "Our goal is to have the best answers to every question, so if you see questions or answers that can be improved, you can edit them.". I would suggest changing the editing to another privilege maybe "As you earn reputation, you'll unlock new privileges like the ability to vote, comment, and even help moderate the site." as it seems fairly impressive and emphasises the community aspect again. I tried to find another privilege that might be understandable to a new user but I don't think that there's a better one really. | |
