I'm confused because this seems like a very good fit for the SO format. I have gathered information that has taken me quite a bit of time to glean from the diverse parts of the Android documentation and consolidated it into a single tutorial. Granted, the answer still needs some polish and work, especially on debugging with the plugin for Eclipse (or possibly NetBeans).
