Sep 22, 2014 at 2:06 | comment | added | ɥʇǝS | Can moderators kick users that haven't spoken?

Sep 11, 2014 at 18:18 | comment | added | balpha StaffMod | @crypticツ Counter-question -- Why not? How is it a problem? "Otherwise owners may end up just kicking each other" sounds like a constructed problem; after all, room owners aren't revoking each other's ownerships right now either.
Sep 11, 2014 at 18:12 | comment | added | kittycat | "A room owner can kick any user (including other room owners)" Why would a room owner be allowed to be kicked? I'd expect a room owner to not be abusive and have their ownership revoked by other owners before being kicked. Otherwise owners may end up just kicking each other.
Sep 11, 2014 at 16:54 | comment | added | R. Martinho Fernandes | A non-editable audit message. It's bad enough with moves and topic changes.
Sep 11, 2014 at 16:54 | comment | added | Cat Plus Plus | IMO there should be an audit message about this (maybe owner-visible only, if that's not too much work).
Sep 11, 2014 at 16:53 | comment | added | Lightness Races in Orbit | +1: I like this; good job. I wouldn't without the totting-up mod notify, as owners are not above reproach, should not be considered "gods" and have been known to misbehave quite badly from time to time.
Sep 11, 2014 at 16:43 | comment | added | Benjamin Gruenbaum | Awesome! Thanks for doing this it's a great help. I'd like to join Retsam in that rooms can still be abused via Starring messages, avatar bombing, and spam flag bombs. Once these are out the system should be clean though :)

Sep 11, 2014 at 15:09 | comment | added | balpha StaffMod | @Retsam Please post a new feature request, such a discussion should get lost in a comment thread.
Sep 11, 2014 at 15:03 | comment | added | Retsam | Would it be reasonable to consider adding "starring" messages to the list of privileges lost after you've been kicked 3 times? That might help cut down on the star spam.
Sep 11, 2014 at 14:48 | comment | added | balpha StaffMod | @ircmaxell There may be more to come. With the infrastructure changes I mentioned in the aside in this answer, it's now much easier to create more fine-grained bans (and conversely, additional permissions) that can be given to users.
Sep 11, 2014 at 14:45 | comment | added | ircmaxell | Thank you for finally giving us the ability to moderate our own rooms! This is a huge win! Thanks!
Sep 11, 2014 at 14:44 | comment | added | balpha StaffMod | @ZachSaucier Yes, but only moderators can do that.
Sep 11, 2014 at 14:42 | comment | added | Zach Saucier | I am so glad this feature is implemented. Is there a way to revoke a kick before the time is up?
