Aug 11, 2018 at 4:17 comment added Bhargav Rao Thanks for that @Graham, I'm also very new to meta so still learning stuff. :)
Aug 11, 2018 at 4:15 comment added Graham @BhargavRao I think commenting on someone's newness on meta is inherently (minorly) demeaning, no matter how you phrase it. It suffices to explain the misunderstanding and let the other party reflect on it. While their newness may be true in most cases, it really doesn't benefit anyone to point it out. But that's only my 2¢, as someone who's never commented on Meta StackExchange before. ;-)
Aug 11, 2018 at 1:25 comment added Bhargav Rao @Sue, Apologies for that. I saw a few "unfriendly" flags on comments asking if a user was new to meta. That's why I used that form of the sentence. Didn't know that it was also rude. I'll try to avoid using such words.
Aug 11, 2018 at 0:44 comment added Sue Saddest Farewell TGO GL @BhargavRao, might this possibly have been a place to word a comment differently according to what the new CoC suggests, just in case someone's feelings get hurt? I was thinking instead of saying "You must be new to meta," a person who wrote that comment might instead say something like "Are you new to meta?" To me, that implies an offer to help someone who might not understand how meta works. This is just my thinking on this matter, not at all a judgment of you or what you wrote. No reply is necessary, I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
Aug 9, 2018 at 8:37 comment added Bhargav Rao Where is the privacy problem in the answer, @TakahiroWaki? The names are all redacted. You must be new to meta.
Aug 9, 2018 at 8:34 comment added Takahiro Waki This is privacy problem. I'm flagging this answer.
Aug 9, 2018 at 8:33 comment added Bhargav Rao And why's that @TakahiroWaki? The picture clearly shows the issue which the moderators are facing on Stack Overflow.
Aug 9, 2018 at 8:25 comment added Takahiro Waki This answer doesn't need picture's example.

Aug 8, 2018 at 13:01 comment added user310756 @LightnessRacesinOrbit curse privacy and rights, such a nuisance ;)
Aug 8, 2018 at 13:00 comment added Lightness Races in Orbit @YvetteColomb: Me too! FlagOverflow.com awaits, just need to ban privacy first :)
Aug 8, 2018 at 12:16 comment added user310756 @LightnessRacesinOrbit I wish I could compile a list of humorous/ridiculous flags.
Aug 8, 2018 at 10:24 comment added Lightness Races in Orbit @YvetteColomb A totally predictable effect of making the flagging system too "welcoming" ;)
Aug 7, 2018 at 19:35 comment added rene Mod @YvetteColomb yeah, I agree. Not expecting you or anyone to write them out. It is and odd effect of the new UX and at first looks pretty funny. But is a kind of useless/pointless load on the mod queue.
Aug 7, 2018 at 19:08 comment added user310756 @rene there will be a meta post with me declining or deleting them. There's no custom mod reason to decline. And yes, I'm too lazy to write the comments out. It's an issue with the UX
Aug 7, 2018 at 19:05 comment added user310756 Yeh I'm noticing an increase in the flags that are replying to comments. I think it needs to be made clearer that it's not a reply to the commenter. A lot of people don't differentiate between mods and high rep users.
Aug 7, 2018 at 18:30 comment added rene Mod Oh ... so we now have welcoming mods ... and you ... ;) ... (keep it up!)
Aug 7, 2018 at 18:27 comment added Bhargav Rao @rene I wasn't sure about how to be welcoming in that case, so left it to another moderator...
Aug 7, 2018 at 18:25 comment added rene Mod And being friendly and welcoming what did you do with those flags? Did you re-post the comments on their behalf?
