Yes, I followed a style guide when I bolded those letters. It just happens to be a style guide that no-one else uses. It's not hard to figure out the rules though, so try to not let it distract you.
Aug 30, 2021 at 15:26 comment added ColleenV @TobySpeight Interpreting most English text requires context to resolve ambiguity; that’s what makes English so expressive and is part of its charm ;) Excessive punctuation can be just as troublesome as a lack of punctuation. What is far more important is consistency. Having a style guide is a great first step, but it needs to be explicit enough that writers can understand how to apply it to specific content.

Aug 28, 2021 at 10:20 comment added Toby Speight There's a parse ambiguity with those nouns strung together anyway: "(low-quality posts) queue" vs "low-quality (posts queue)". I guess we all know what it means, but I think "low-quality-posts queue" would be better. I suppose this is all part of the gradual dropping of hyphens that's happening at present?
