Maybe they genuinely do not care that much about their community to bother writing nicer messages? Maybe they think that we need them more than they need us or that we are too demanding to be worth the effort. And also people go ballistic all the time. Many of the people who announce never to contribute again, didn't contribute much in the past. The true test will be the usage on SE in the coming months. Many contributors might not even be aware of the company's deal with OpenAI. | |
