Possible Duplicate:
Poor answers and accept rate

I sometimes feel complicated situation, as I have some answer and none of them are satisfactory. Then also I am forced to accept one of them if I don't want to degrade my accept rate. I feel it bad, as I can't even delete that question of mine because I have some answers. Why it is so, it make feel like helpless, or been made bounded to accept one useless answer.

The simple solution is to not worry about your accept rate ;) If non of the answers are satisfactory then leave comments and/or down-vote. Don't accept bad answers. – ChrisF Sep 16 '11 at 11:15

Chris is correct. Don't let anyone bully you into accepting an answer that doesn't really help you. But, take care to make sure that you clearly explain what you need .. so you're sure to get good answers. – Tim Post Sep 16 '11 at 11:17

If people are bugging you about your accept rate, just flag their comments. If you have a question that has no answer, leave it. Other things you can do: You may want to add a faq to it if you can't move on. If you have found a workaround, answer it yourself and you can select your answer as correct. If you are done with the question, and someone helped you find your way, but their answer isn't 100% correct, consider accepting it anyhow; you can edit their answer to add more relevant details. – user1228 Sep 16 '11 at 14:23
