“Don’t just link to jsfiddle.net” hint sometimes hinders answering the questions

Are we forbidden from linking to Ideone.com in answers now? I was answering this question, and to prove that it compiles on conforming C++11 compilers, I copied his code onto Ideone, where naturally it compiled.

But I couldn't use that link in my answer. Why not? Is this just some link-answer protection system that's out of tune or something? I would think that the system would assume that an 80K rep user would know what they're doing, and if they're linking somewhere, it's for a good reason.
