  • No, it depends on OP to select the correct answer, as some users tend to repfarm by copying the answers above, doesn't mean they should get a point because they answered correct, and FYI, SO cannot write an algorithm that which answer is correct – Mr. Alien Aug 31 '13 at 9:50
  • if two(or more) answers are correct and solve my problem, I always upvote all of them and accept the first answer – Dirty-flow Aug 31 '13 at 10:17
  • Also: Allow more than one answer to be accepted – ale Aug 31 '13 at 13:51
  • Votes mean "correct", acceptance means "this is the solution I used". – dmckee Aug 31 '13 at 15:46

That is what upvotes are for.

  • Upvote would be given to all the correct questions. – user123 Aug 31 '13 at 9:54

    @user174889 Exactly. Upvote all the correct answers, and accept the answer that solved the problem. – user000001 Aug 31 '13 at 9:57
  • @user000001 upvote ALL the answers! – Cole Johnson Aug 31 '13 at 13:30
  • Upvoted this because... IS THE ONLY ANSWER! MUAHHAHAHA! – Braiam Aug 31 '13 at 14:13
  • @ColeJohnson ALL answers? Even this? – user000001 Aug 31 '13 at 15:23

    @user000001 YES – Cole Johnson Aug 31 '13 at 16:09
  • This seems very democratic which doesn't always help the situation, if your answer is different to another and helps all the same, it may come across as being overly efficient – Steve Sep 18 at 14:52
