Thoroughly read the FAQ. Also stop down voting it and just migrate it. It only needs one more vote... – Mick MacCallum Nov 15 '13 at 23:41

@Qantas94Heavy Yes, and am I loosing my mind, or did that used to say FAQ next to meta on the SO's status bar? – Mick MacCallum Nov 16 '13 at 0:19
  • The best way to get started is to dive in, naturally. For mistakes will be made, and you may as well make them earlier. Amirite – Adel Nov 16 '13 at 0:25
  • Best way to get reputation - answer, don't ask, unless you have a really awesome question. – Dukeling Nov 16 '13 at 0:34
