This is one code block with a backslash: \ and this is another one \ and this is a code block with other characters abc.

This is another code block with a backslash \ and then one with an escaped backtick abc \ abc`

  • @TinyGiant - Unicode. Very nice. That was what the post regarding to strikethrough in comments alludes to as well. I was kind of hoping it was still available with some sort of shortcut here. Thanks for sharing though :)

Bug in comments formatting

Bold nested in italic is rendered as plain italic without the bold markup being interpreted in comments. See the examples:

Case 1: Not working

_Italic and **bold**_

is rendered as Italic and **bold**. It doesn't interpret the bold markup.

Case 2: Not working

_Italic and **bold** _

is rendered as _Italic and bold _. It doesn't interpret the italic markup.

Case 3: Working

_Italic and **bold** followed by more italic_

is rendered correctly: Italic and bold followed by more italic

Bug in posts formatting

Case 1b: working

_Italic and **bold**_

is rendered as Italic and bold. It doesn't interpret the bold markup.

Case 2b: Not working

_Italic and **bold** _

is rendered as _Italic and bold _. It doesn't interpret the italic markup.

Case 3

_Italic and **bold** followed by more italic_

is rendered correctly: Italic and bold followed by more italic

Testing line breaks in sup tags

Everything after a second return isn't subscript anymore:

Neher, A. (1991). Maslow's theory of motivation: A critique. Journal of Humanistic Psycholgoy, 31, 3. [FREE PDF][1]

Mahmoud A. Wahba, Lawrence G. Bridwell, [Maslow reconsidered: A review of research on the need hierarchy theory][2] (1976), or a free pdf scan here

But if you use <br /> there are no issues.

Neher, A.

As reported here

This works very strange; initially is does not work, with repeated edits it 'sticks.'

TLDR, eight spaces makes a code block inside a list - per options abound at https://meta.stackexchange.com/a/3332/165931
