This is a heading!

This is also a heading! (albeit a smaller one)

...You get the point.

Let's get some bold text in here.

Maybe some more?

Italicized text. Use for emphasis.

Markdown offers many gifts!

Text with a line through it.

Here's a link. (It's also a rickroll.)

Some title text for you.

Here's some text highlighted in yellow.

Here's some hidden text highlighted in yellow!

Inline code. Don't use for sentences like this.

"Some Foo code with no syntax highlighting."
print('Some Python code with dedicated syntax highlighting.')
  • Here's
  • a
  • list.
  1. Numbered lists
  2. are a thing too!
  • Let's
    • nest!
  • And also
    1. mix
    2. them
    3. up.

Break this...

...sentence up with a line.

And an ellipsis. Maybe two.

I'm hacking this tiny text together.

  • Ooo i didn't know you can use comments to separate list... – abccd Dec 7 '17 at 17:40

I am a sock of angussidney.

I need to make this post to use as part of an automated test for SmokeDetector's !!/allspam command. In this test case, the user needs to have between 1 and 15 posts and <100 rep.

Please don't upvote this, it will break my testcase and I'll be very annoyed. Ha. It's a community wiki post. It doesn't matter.

Click edit to see the intended effect, then click cancel.

Normal words don't appear until you hover over them, but any links in boxes will show, whether you have hovered over them or not. You will have read this by now, unless your browser is so slow that it's about to freeze.

The above box is supposed to look like this:

don't                  hover over           any          boxes                    you                                    will                                                                          freeze

  • What were you trying to test, if I may ask? :) – ShaWiz Nov 23 '11 at 14:07
  • @ShadowWizard: See here. – Time Traveling Bobby Nov 23 '11 at 14:38
  • Yeah, most likely such filters are not applied for users with rep more than [X] amount - I'd say 200 is probably good limit. – ShaWiz Nov 23 '11 at 14:46
  • @ShadowWizard: I only had that idea after my testing. ;) Additionally, that filter might not be active on Meta. – Time Traveling Bobby Nov 23 '11 at 14:53
  • Good point, not much code here on Meta.. BTW can I loan some bricks? :-D – ShaWiz Nov 23 '11 at 15:00
  • @ShadowWizard: Sure, go ahead. I can get more from all the Keyboard-Shortcut-Questions on Super User. :D – Time Traveling Bobby Nov 23 '11 at 15:36

%29: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dagger_(typography%29 ← link functions but looks ugly/wrong

From Please improve the auto-linking to allow square and round brackets

For example, this won't work with the linking feature:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/util/Arrays.html#binarySearch(int[], int)

If I try and [link it][1] this is the result.

This is a test To see if this works.

This is a test to see if it is possible to hide hyperlinks.

This is a test [to see if nested hyperlinks](http://www.example.com/) are acceptable. This doesn't seem to be the case.

Can I get text to properly flow around images? We'll the raw HTML suggested in the editing help doesn't seem to work. And the regular way to embed images doesn't flow correctly, so I'm not sure what to do. Ask a meta-question, I guess. enter image description here
