I asked a question about a solution for searching tags in Meta SE, you can see my question in following the link: SEDE

It was working since Aug 10th and after that when I was trying to open SEDE like I face this error SEDE Error.

I did comment on the error and @Glorfindel suggests that i should ask a new question to find out why this error is happening and his suggestion was, maybe it is related to my location.

I get this error even after disabling Firefox plugins and extensions and restarting. I am logged in and not using a VPN. It works in Chrome and IE 11.

I would appreciate you if you can help me to find a solution to this issue.

  • Do you have any problems visiting stackoverflow.com or superuser.com? – rene Aug 14 at 16:41
  • If you open developer tools while on data.stackexchange.com and go to Storage, any cookies there? If yes, try deleting them – rene Aug 14 at 17:14
  • Beyond that I'm out of options. If you ping data.stackexchange.com does it return 192.111.0.23 ? – rene Aug 14 at 17:19

Well, it is some weird local issue only for Firefox but I've exhausted all options that would explain the error you see. I can't help you anymore, sorry. Maybe someone else that comes along has a bright moment. – rene Aug 14 at 17:39
  • Can you provide a network dump using Firefox's network inspector? Go to the page that's giving you a 404, open Inspect Element (ctrl+shift+i), refresh the page that gave you a 404, go to the "Network" tab, right click on the data labeled "404", and click "Save All As HAR". – forest Aug 14 at 23:43
  • As previously stated; your Firefox profile is corrupt. Create a new profile and use that. – Awesome Poodles 2 days ago
