I'm trying to post a simple comment; if the comment contains -1, then it errors out, suggesting I'm defending or replying to a downvote. This is to the OP, not a reply to my own Q or A.

  • Sure, but it borks on code :/ ['1'].indexOf() == -1 – Lawrence Cherone Sep 18 at 17:45
  • @DanBron Well, to be fair, the -1 appears inside a code mentioning snippet. – πάντα ῥεῖ Sep 18 at 17:45
  • lol but not here.. – Lawrence Cherone Sep 18 at 17:45

I've made this check a bit less greedy; your comment should go through now.

  • noice, I didnt think any changes would happen, have not encountered the message before, totally, understand preventing -1's etc. – Lawrence Cherone Sep 18 at 18:08
  • -1 This works now. (wait, this actually goes through?, I think exactly this type of comment should be banned or am I missing something?) – MEE - Reinstate Monica Sep 18 at 19:14
