In the footer of every SE site, under Company section, there is a link for Stack Overflow, i.e., https://stackoverflow.com/.

enter image description here

Since February 2022, stackoverflow.co has been used as the main domain name for marketing activities/company related stuff. So, shouldn't the link in the footer be https://stackoverflow.co/ instead of https://stackoverflow.com/ as it comes under "Company" section?

Have you looked at stackoverflow.com while logged out? It's a sales pitch.

  • @Laurel Do you think logged out users are gonna click links in footer more than logged in users? Sep 17 at 16:46

Maybe we could make stackoverflow.com not be a sales pitch and then change the link? (Yes, I most certainly do have an axe to grind, though it's not with you.)

  • @Laurel Yup, I agree... but I don't think the MSE community can do anything about it... only MSO community can try or am I wrong? Sep 17 at 17:07

Seems like neither. See New home page makes it seem like SO doesn't allow free use any more on MSO. It's very highly voted but largely unaddressed.
