Related questions in “Ask Question” page is better than search tool

This is me on stackoverflow:

  • I search: script tags in html document
  • No good answer found (in the top 3 at least).
  • So I start posting a question: How bad is it really to put script tags all over your html document?
  • Now Related Questions appear with the best of suggestions, for example this: SEO Superstitions: Are <script> tags really bad? which had the exact discussion I was looking for.

I don't know what I feel. Like. Why didn't a popup below the search box suggest related questions?

On the other hand, having to come up with a title forced me to actually put a question that made sense, which, I guess, was a really good query for stackoverflow.

Is this by design?
