This is the post marked as duplicate which I will refer to as the "dupe": What Apache Ant version should I used to run Java 6 projects?

This is the post linked to as the original: How to fix java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Unsupported major.minor version

  1. I read the "dupe," read the "original," and due to this comment, believed they weren't duplicates.

  2. I voted to reopen the "dupe."

  3. I read a lot of other posts and changed my mind: the "dupe" was a "dupe" after all.

  4. I voted to close the "dupe" as a duplicate and linked to the same question as the "original."

  5. I read a lot of other posts and changed my mind again: I had misinterpreted the "dupe"'s question all along. This comment convinced me the answers in the "original" are related but not the same.

  6. I edited the "dupe"'s question so others don't make the same mistake in the future.

  7. I tried to reopen the "dupe," but it says I've already voted to reopen this question:

  8. It also gives me an edit button here:

  9. When I click on that, it sends me here:

  10. When I removed that linked post, I don't have an option to save:

In the end I concluded this post should not be marked as a duplicate but I can't figure out if my vote is counted that way. Am I voting to open, close, or both?

There's almost certainly a duplicate of this, so I'm not answering. Non-moderators get one reopen-vote and one close-vote per question. You've used both of yours for that question. You don't get to get around that limit to a single vote by removing all the duplicate questions from the list of duplicates. Once cast, your reopen- or close-vote is considered not used if, and only if, it ages away. If it ages away, then you can re-cast your vote 14 days after it aged away. You already edited the question, marking the edit as resolving the close reason, which put it in the reopen review queue.
