Regarding your first question - the only option as far as I know is to manually award the bounty to some other answer, perhaps one which was the most helpful, even if it isn't the correct answer. Reg …

no reason to offer the bounty in the first place. Granted you have offered more bounties that I have, I'm just saying, I don't think it will do any good, and will only complicate things. …
