The yellow block of links that appears near the top of the right-hand sidebar on most pages, consisting of featured posts, events, blog entries, and hot meta posts.
The Community Bulletin is the yellow box of links that appears on the right hand side of the page. It is a tool for the community to promote events and initiatives that are important to them. On-site activities like tag cleanup events, chat events, and weekly topic contests are some examples of things to promote in the community bulletin.
Moderators and select Stack Exchange employees can add new events from the Mod Links menu, giving each entry a title and beginning and ending date & time. Each entry must be linked to a Stack Exchange property (a Stack Exchange main site or meta post, or a post on the Stack Exchange company blog stackoverflow.blog).
In addition to events, the box also features recent entries from the Stack Exchange company blog, posts tagged featured on both Meta Stack Exchange and the per-site meta, as well as "Hot Meta Posts" (randomly selected questions from the "hot" tab on the per-site meta).
