For questions about the ability to override a completed suggested edit review, available to moderators and post authors.

Use this tag for questions about the ability to override a suggested edit review after it's been completed. Moderators and the original author of a post have this ability with the following limitations:

You cannot override the outcome if1:

  • Another edit was made to the post after review completed.
  • The reviewer chose to Improve Edit or Reject and Edit.
  • The review you're trying to override has already been overridden.

If none of the above limitations apply you can override the completed review of a suggested edit, that has been rejected or approved, by checking the review item and reviewing it normally; this will override the previous review outcome.

This functionality was initially rolled out in April of 2017; with further refinements in July of the same year.
